Massive panic my laptop crashed while I was playing Mimi’s household & the game has disappeared 
I have no idea what to do it’s saved on backup but i don’t have a clue how to get it onto the game help please otherwise Mimi is doomed

So when you’re in the main menu of the sims… is the whole neighbourhood gone? :O :’( :’( If the whole neighbourhood isn’t gone… have they dissapeared from the place where they used to live, or what? :O I REALLY hope that people can help you so that you can get this solved!

Oh No!!!
Do you have the backup disk? I think it’s just a matter of replacing the folder you have on your hard drive with the one you have in your back up.
Have all your saved games disappeared or just this one?

Go to your documents, Electronic Arts, The Sims 3, Saves, Then delete the the bad file, or the one that was last saved from that neighborhood. Then the one with the same name that its a backup file… Rename it should go from
Goldigger.sims3.backup (or whatever)
to
Goldigger.sims3
So take out the .backup
Hope that helps… It happens to me often…

I’m not really sure what happened it just went really slow then froze & nothing would work on my laptop. When i went back onto sims theres just a blank space where Mimi’s game used to be with no picture or anything

This is maybe not a good idea and I think you have already received better help, but if the other things don’t work, you can try to make a copy of that neighbourhood (with the blank picture)? Well, when there’s only a blank picture it sounds quite bad, so I doubt that making a copy would work… but once in the neighbourhood where I play Cessalin aglitch happened that I couldn’t choose any other sim that Berithy (spooky), not even if I went to the “edit town” mode and chose a different family – I couldn’t play them and it showed that I had chosen Berithy even if she wasn’t on that lot or anything! Then I killed off that copy of Berithy… and it STILL showed that I supposedly was controlling her and couldn’t choose anybody else!!! O_O But that problem was fixed when I made a copy of the neighbourhood and deleted the original one!

I would try it but after I tryed the above tactic with the backup file the blank picture was removed altogether I still have the back up file just incase I manage to figure it out but at the minute it looks like Mimi’s game is gone forever

Did you try looking on the Sims 3 site in tech support section?
